When I take part in the Fifty/Ninety songwriting challenge every year (the goal is to write fifty songs in the ninety days between July 4th and October 1st) I also set myself the additional challenge of coming up with song titles that begin with every letter of the alphabet.

This year I wasn't particularly subtle about matters, but the title works in context.

Might not be Indiana Jones
but crystal skulls are his big thing
No concrete evidence on show
when gullibility is king

What is this new mystery,
presented by a bit of a chancer?
Evidence ignored throughout history
And 'aliens' is always the answer

Science gets kicked to the kerbstone
Explanations they've not got
Designating the unknown
Marks the spot where they lost the plot

You'll be no wiser at the close
than you were right at the start
but when it comes to UFOs
our boy has taken things to heart

Our minds get flooded every day
with his claims of so-called 'proof'
Scepticism wears away
His falsity becomes our truth
