We're at 17/8 for this one.

I've been messing around with my Zoom G6 guitar effects unit of late, and one of the latest patches I've created was an octaved fuzz that I called "Ominous". That's what's handling the main riff here, which I played on my Ibanez RG9-BK nine-stringed guitar.

But for the soloing, I wanted to strike out for unexplored territory. I steered well clear of ingrained muscle memory and old habits, which of course made things much more difficult, but I like where I ended up.
