Irreversibility

from Spontaneous Grand Pianos by Chris Harris

/

about

's all about the arrow of time, innit?

To put it in physics terms, the Universe started out in a state of ridiculously low entropy (disorder) and the amount of entropy has been increasing ever since. To put it into everyday language, irreversibility is why you can't un-stir the milk back out of your coffee or un-break an egg, and it's why you're almost always able to spot when a video of everyday events is being played backwards.

Lovely strings here are from Arturia's gorgeous emulation of the Mellotron.

about

Chris Harris Bristol, UK

I'm still trying to get the music I record to sound like the version I can hear in my head. To do this I've ended up playing every instrument I can get my hands on. These days, I'm closer to "That Sound" than I used to be, but the journey continues.
