Gedankenexperiment

from Spontaneous Grand Pianos by Chris Harris

/

about

The title is a German word meaning "Thought Experiment." It describes a category of experiment or concept that would be impossible to carry out in the laboratory: playing around with black holes, duplicating the conditions inside a star, or leaving an infinite amount of space lying around for infinite amounts of time are all likely to trigger strong rebukes from laboratory assistants when carried out in real life. So physicists do this type of experiments in their heads. The cleaning bills are, thankfully, considerably smaller.

Spitfire Audio's "Abbey Road ONE" and "BBC Symphony Orchestra" packages get a chance to shine in this track.

about

Chris Harris Bristol, UK

I'm still trying to get the music I record to sound like the version I can hear in my head. To do this I've ended up playing every instrument I can get my hands on. These days, I'm closer to "That Sound" than I used to be, but the journey continues.
