Excursion 5

This has its roots in New York, as I deconstructed a rhythmic loop that was given away as a freebie by Heavyocity (who are based there) over Christmas.

Careful listening to the loop allowed me to figure out the various elements involved. Once I'd done that, I could make my own version with my gear, and embellish things in a way that fitted with the mood of the track. Why did I do this, rather than use the stock loop as it was, out of the box? Because I couldn't get the original loop to change key the way I wanted it to.

And then it was time to jam along on the Strat and have fun with Live 11's stock delay processor...
