The thing about all the phenomena being discussed in these sleeve notes is that they require absolutely stupendous amounts of time to stand a chance of happening, far, far longer han the amount of time for which the Universe has already existed (around 13.8 billion years).

Deep time is a concept that we find very hard to get into our heads, because the concept is completely outside our fleeting experience. The amount of time it takes for an *atom* to wear out, thought to be on the order of 10 million billion billion billion years, would be a fleeting moment by comparison.

The bass on this is my trusty Ibanez RG9-BK nine-string guitar.
