Dark Universe

from Spontaneous Grand Pianos by Chris Harris

/

about

Given enough time, all the stars in the Universe will run out of fuel. Given enough time, even the largest black holes will run out of matter to absorb, and they will eventually evaporate into photons of heat thanks to a phenomenon known as Hawking Radiation, named after Professor Sir Stephen Hawking, who first proposed it.

In the far reaches of time, all the lights will - quite literally - have gone out.

The piano this time round is Native Instruments' "The Grandeur." This track also makes extensive use of the BBC Symphony Orchestra Core package from Spitfire Audio. If you'd told me this time last year that I'd be putting together arrangements for a full orchestral string section, I'd have looked at you as if you were mad. Now, here I am, doing exactly that.

about

Chris Harris Bristol, UK

I'm still trying to get the music I record to sound like the version I can hear in my head. To do this I've ended up playing every instrument I can get my hands on. These days, I'm closer to "That Sound" than I used to be, but the journey continues.
