A Transatlantic Tunnel, Hoorah!

from Something To Do While I Think Of Something To Do by Chris Harris

/

about

(Harry Harrison, 1972)

I was astonished to learn this month that most of Harry Harrison's novels are currently out of print. This is outrageous, and needs to be remedied immediately. Start with this, then move on to the Stainless Steel Rat series, which were described, accurately, as "The Monty Python of the spaceways."

Three layers of piano, one reversed, lay down the bed for this track. A ping-pong delay is used to convey the exchanges between the two sides of the Atlantic as construction of the tunnel proceeds. You see, I *do* think about how I can refer to the plot of each novel in the music, honestly I do.

about

Chris Harris Bristol, UK

I'm still trying to get the music I record to sound like the version I can hear in my head. To do this I've ended up playing every instrument I can get my hands on. These days, I'm closer to "That Sound" than I used to be, but the journey continues.
