He couldn't write believable characters for toffee, but Arthur was the master when it came to big ideas and a sense of the numinous. He occasionally strayed into "hard" SF too, even though we now know that the lunar surface is not nearly as treacherous as the seas of fine dust which Captain Harris goes sailing across in this novel of a shipwreck on the Moon...

My notes for this one just say, "minimalist".
