KBO2004 SB60 Salacia

Salacia was Neptune's wife and the goddess of salt water.

Salacia orbits the Sun at a distance only slightly greater than Pluto, and it's one of the bigger minor planets; its estimated diameter is around 900 km. That puts it in the top twelve KBOs in terms of size. It has a moon, Actaea, which is roughly a quarter of its size, in an almost circular orbit some 5500 km from Salacia.

The crew may have survived, but their long-term outlook is far from certain. I wanted this track to convey unease and a sense that out here, we are very far from home. Thoughts might drift to any deities that the crew might favour.
