KBO2001 UQ18 Altjira

Altjira is the sky god of the Aranda people of central Australia.

148780 Altjira is a classical Kuiper Belt Object or Cubewano. It was discovered on October 20th 2001 by the Deep Ecliptic Survey team working at Kitt peak Observatory in Arizona. It's a binary object; the primary is as much as 200 km in diameter, the secondary is no more than 180 km wide.

After creation, Altjira retreated to the sky and took no further part in the affairs of Earth. In this track, we hear periods of frantic activity punctuated by a central section of guitar riffs. The idea, such as it is, is that the crew are off enjoying themselves and maybe not paying as much attention to what's going on as they should be. The recurring motif strikes a note of warning, but is anyone listening?
