Slothcore is a genre of music that is the brainchild of Candle, a.k.a. Darby Spicer. He defines it as "very slow (like 20 - 40 bpm); dirty, and with long pauses to simulate naps. Perfect music for that overworked college/university student in your life."

Rather than slowing something faster down to 40 bpm using software, I discovered that it's more fun to actually *play* everything at that tempo. It's harder than it looks.

But given the title's nod to Frank Herbert's Dune series of science fiction novels, I thought it appropriate to go big. VERY big. I even feel justified in describing this track with the word "epic".
